about
hi! i’m January November.
experience
i graduated from George Mason University with a BS in Applied Computer Science, class of 2024! my journey has been defined by a deep passion for software development and engineering, particularly in the realms of object-oriented programming and game development.
during the summer of 2023, i worked as a summer camp counselor at iCode Vienna, a highly-respected resource for fostering early STEM interest, where i was responsible for teaching programming fundamentals in a variety of curricula to young students. this role not only honed my technical skills but also highlighted and gave me an opportunity to communicate complex concepts in an accessible manner. over the course of three months, i developed and delivered interactive programming lessons, fostering a collaborative and engaging learning environment.
as of right now, my programming experience has primarily been through projects at school. however, mixed in has been some experiences with gamejams and other pursuits.
skills
- object-oriented programming (OOP): proficient in utilizing OOP principles to design and implement software solutions, ensuring code modularity, reusability, and maintainability.
- game development: experienced in creating interactive games, focusing on both the technical and creative aspects of game design, including mechanics, graphics, and user experience.
- software development: skilled in the full software development lifecycle, from planning and design to coding, testing, and deployment, with a commitment to delivering high-quality software products.
projects
throughout my academic and professional journey, i have worked on various projects that showcase my technical skills and creativity. these projects reflect my ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios, solving real-world problems through innovative software solutions.
as i continue to grow in the field of software development and engineering, i am excited, if not encouraged and ready, to take on new challenges and contribute to impactful projects. my goal is to leverage my skills and experiences to develop software that not only meets technical requirements but also enhances user experiences and drives innovation.
but what does jtfg mean?
