the jam version of Fish Fear Me was the first project completed by 100 JECS, a team comprised of myself and three of my friends. it was developed in Unity in about three days for District June Jam 4.

the game has no goal but achieved certain design milestones, and also originated the endlessly classic character of Fishest Gup.

in the game, you play as Gup as he attempts to survive an endless onslaught by fishing up allies. this version can be found on itch.io. There is no publicly available version control for the project due to Unity nonsense.

on this project, i:

  • came up with the initial gameplay concept, which eventually led was combined with a desire for a Survivors-like to produce the current product
  • assisted on creating the title screen and certain effects
  • fixed issues regarding sprite layering
  • drew the 100 JECS image
